Winnie the Pooh and Pinocchio: A New Beginning is the fourth story in a series of crossover fan fictions based on Disney's second animated feature, Pinocchio (1940) and sequel to its predecessor, Winnie the Pooh and Pinocchio, Too. It is written by CynWann and the only crossover fiction story to ever be a sequel.
The story gives the introduction of Crystal, another puppet brought to life by the Blue Fairy who becomes Pinocchio's love interest.
The story opens with Pinocchio and Kanga's son, Roo, playing together until they crash into a bush while trying to chase after a butterfly. The two make it back home, where the boys notice Rabbit and the Pooh gang, along with Pinocchio's conscience, Jiminy Cricket, are preparing for a harvest. Pinocchio and Roo offer to help, until Tigger ruins Rabbit's hard work. Later that same day, as Roo and Pinocchio are talking at the bridge, Pinocchio explains to Roo that having Winnie the Pooh, and the others, including Jiminy as friends, especially Roo, is great, but he wishes for a friend of his own kind.
